Description
Vidyut Ombudsman office is a separate organization, which was established by TSERC under Sub Section (6) of Section 42 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Vidyut Ombudsman is an appellate authority over the orders of CGRFs, and an ultimate authority providing an effective, alternative, time-bound and cost-less route for resolving the problems of Electricity Consumers.
The present Commission in attempt to revise the existing pay scales for VO staff in line with the recommendations of the latest State PRC, certain anomalies are observed in revising the scales of pay due to some decisions by the previous Commission members in fixing the pay scales. Hence the Commission intention to carry out a critical examination of the matter before fixing the revised pay scales, entrusted CGG to study and recommend on the revision of pay scales of the Vidyut Ombudsman (VO) Staff. CGG had conducted a detailed review of the method used in fixing the pay scales by then commission to identify the anomalies raised. After a detailed analysis and numerous deliberations with the top management suggested new pay scales for all the employees
